Voice Activation

Description: The Mastervoice Series II is a 4-user voice-activated home automation system with speech output that allows the user to operate (hands-free) all appliances, lights and telephones through 4-modes of operation: time, touch, voice, and situation. The system uses the existing household wiring to remotely activate devices by using carrier current modules.

The system recognizes any language or dialect, and operates (with the noise cancellation feature) in a room full of household noise from up to 20 feet away. It's both speaker dependent and independent. Once trained, the system recognizes specific words. The user trains certain categories of words in sections such as Commands, Devices, Phone, and Alarm.

The system also has a built-in telephone that is totally hands-free that allows the user to remotely dial, answer, and speak on the phone. The system has 99 "smart" timers which allows any chosen appliance to be turned on or off at specific times during a day. Other timer features included: If...then logic, sunrise and sunset, X-10 receive, special holiday schedule, and wake-up. To allow for more flexibility, "macros" will allow several pre-programmed devices to complete several functions at one time. Macros can work by voice, time or through Remote Telephone Access.

Remote Telephone Access allows (through a touch-tone phone) access to control devices from inside or outside the home. The system also has a built-in alarm system that can detect intruders by requesting that they identify themselves by giving the correct password. The system can operate ASCII codes, infrared devices, X-10 Receive, and the telephone. The system also has voice output with pre-stored responses that can be changed with the use of an accessory called voice cartridge.

Special Features
The MASTERVOICE Series II has many unique features that sets it apart from other computer type automation systems. It's what makes the SERIES II a tremendous value in the home automation industry.
STANDS ALONE: The SERIES II is a stand alone automation computer capable of controlling any electronic or electrical device. It does not require a PC to program, however with our optional SETUP PROGRAM for DOS, the system can be operated and set up with a PC. Since it does not require a PC, it is very easy for a homeowner to set his system up. For the commercial installer, a PC can speed programming for multiple installations.

MODEM: The SERIES II has a built in modem for remote programming, and it is password protected.

X-10 PROTOCOL: The SERIES II outputs X-10 signals right from its powercord. It will receive X-10 to its serial port with a Powerline Interface module, so events can take place based on input from any X-10 device, like a wall controller, Burglar Alarm Interface in a doorbell circuit, or any kind of sensing device for temperature, moisture, or infrared motion sensor.

INFRARED PROTOCOL: With the INFRARED CONTROL INTERFACE the SERIES II can add audio video equipment control to your automation programming.

HARDWIRE RELAY PROTOCOL: The SERIES II can output to a relay control in groups of 4, 8, or 16, or can be stacked for unlimited numbers. Some technicians like hardwire control instead of PLC for critical function like security systems, HVAC, water heaters, etc.

DTMF PROTOCOL: The SERIES II will output and receive phone tones. It can page you, and you can call it from any touch tone phone within or outside the home for device control. The system will store up to 32 inputs, so if it's busy with other commands, it won't drop your control inputs. Since it will output DTMF, it can control other systems that communicate in that protocol, like lighting systems and security systems.

ASCII CODE PROTOCOL: The SERIES II can communicate with a PC by sending and receiving ASCII through its serial port. With our SETUP PROGRAM you can control devices with the keypad of your PC. Some security and control systems use ASCII as a communication protocol.

LISTEN IN FEATURE: You can call your home and listen in through the SERIES II system. It is password protected so only you or someone you authorize can use this feature. Ideal for children or the elderly.

ENERGY EYE: The motion and sound sensor built into the front of the unit can activate a device automatically when it gets sound or motion input. You can walk into your living room, your lights will turn on and stay on until you leave!

SPECIAL TIMERS: The SERIES II has 99 timers that are extra smart, like the SPECIAL TIMER that can be set for a specific week of the month, or every other month. Or the INTERVAL TIMER that can perform a repetitive function, like turn off the closet and pantry lights every 20 minutes throughout the day. The timers can be set for a given day of the week, month, season, or with a holiday exception schedule. A timer can track sunrise and sunset, and the system automatically adjusts its time when daylight savings begins or ends.

MACROS: The SERIES II has a 96 device library and up to 32 macros. Any one of the devices can be a MACRO which can be up to 16 items from the device library. So MACROS can include any of the protocols of control as well as another MACRO. MACROS can nest 3 deep and can mix X-10 control, Infrared, DTMF, and hardwire relay, for example.

VOICE CONTROL: The SERIES II's most impressive feature. A complete voice control interface. Just Speak your command and immediate response and action is take. Say "light on" and that is just what will happen. You can say "I'm Home" and the house will set: lighting, tempature and music to meet your wishes.

The SERIES II is a complete package for home automation, capable of a wide variety of control protocol. We think you will find it to be a modern solution to home automation needs.
